First of all a BIG Congratulations to my pupil Alex Mason. Alex one the Handicap prize in our Club Championship on Sunday 26th July with rounds of 80 & 79 and was not far off winning the scratch. Alex joined the club this year and when we first sat down in May to discuss his goals and ambitions for this year he was playing off 19 and set himself the challenge to being in single figures by the end of the year. He is now off 11 and is well on the way to achieving his goal. He also got his picture in the paper which he was very excited about. At the Age of 14, with his ambition and desire he will be one to watch!!

I have also started a Ladies Summer coaching Session for Wednesday mornings which have been very popular, I have only done 2 sessions and had good feedback already, with some good results!

I also received some funding from the Sussex Golf Partnership and Sport England as part of a ‘Get Inspired’ Campaign. I used the funding to go into Schools with Children with disabilities. I went to Newick House School in Burgess Hill and delivered 3 hours of Golf to the Kids. I must say it was one of the most satisfying 3 hours of coaching I have ever given. The kids really enjoyed it and were totally engaged the whole time. I will be going back in the autumn term and hopefully to other Schools! Ill let you know how it goes!!
